It’s certainly strange, since I feel like it has not been long ago since New Horizons release, the graphics hold up very well. It just needs enhancement, meaningful characters, something driven around villagers rather than customization.

A New Leaf HD remake would be a day one purchase for me. Loved Horizon but New Leaf felt like it had more depth. Working at Brewsters to get rewards instead of just buying coffees for instance.

I would absolutely love an New Leaf remake! The whole collecting badge idea I love! The whole thing they for NH with nook miles is like it, but I like the concept of collecting badges as your progress.

If they Remake New Leaf, i will buy it straight away. I poured over 550 Hours into the game on my 2DS XL, and would love to see it getting a remake on the Switch.

As someone who only has played the GameCube AC and ACNH, I would take any AC games even a remake of an old one.

Keep in mind that Animal Crossing and Splatoon share a dev team. Splatoon is still in its update cycle, so there's probably minimal work happening on the next Animal Crossing game, if at all.

Forget the remakes! New Horizons is the only Animal Crossing game I’ve ever played but I’d rather see them continue forward than remake an existing game

An "Ultimate" version that has every villager "Everyone is here" would be pretty sweet, even if otherwise it was just NH + DLC (maybe some ported Pocket Camp items as a bonus gift too). Low effort "Next-gen" gift for the fans.

Honestly I'd rather just see them pad out the time to the next game by bringing back support for ACNH. At this point I don't think any of my friends are coming back to the game, but I'd fire it up again if we got new items to play with and maybe some new villagers, new clothes. Obviously would love something more to do in multiplayer than just run around each other's islands but even just giving us more items to decorate with, letting us have more save files and making the Happy Home design sharing hub more interactive would inspire me back into the game for a bit.

Mori thank you so much for covering this. If the first leak will be true I’d unironically die. Removing the idillic ambience from animal crossing would kill the franchise
