Hiya Nick! I'm indian and I just wanted to thank you for reacting to our railways! Our trains rarely reach 80 Miles an hour in some cases, but we're getting there slowly. I also wanted to tell you that our trains aren't actually considered that safe because of the open windows, doors, and gangways. While the Indian Railways (as it's called) is upgrading track and station infrastructure as well! I'd love for you to react to more videos about our rail system because it is quite an interesting one!

Sorry for such a long comment TwT

The US used to invest in railroads in the 1970s but the freight railroads won't let Amtrak do as much service as it's predecessors (As an example Pensylvania Railroad, New York Central Railroad, Baltimore And Ohio Railroad, Etc.). The US used to have more passenger railroads back in the 1930s, 1940s and 1950s but people favored cars (which I don't) and unfortunately starting in the 1960s, railroad companies consolidated and consolidated, then Amtrak came to save the day but the freight railroads won't allow it. :(

Nick Dalton, on this day of Saturday I have witnessed a tragic outcome of humankind’s mistake; an Orange Line train was delayed unfortunately by 20+ minutes.

@Modeltnick

Great video! Passenger service would be better if it was returned back to the private sector. I used to ride the Seaboard line to Florida when I was a kid. It was a top notch railroad that was first class all the way. India has problems with safety standards on their railways.

@TBTboston

If only the MBTA would have windows that you could open....

Not including the emergency windows
