all that technology, and they say they don't know whose drugs they found, lol

@lestergordon3698

If you take away all the security features the Whitehouse replica would cost a couple million dollars. Basically it would be like any other mansion. It's the security that costs.

@jaquanjohnson8257

Tyler Perry made a replica of the White House for his TV series The Oval he just didn’t add the West Wing in the East wing he also said they train the Secret Service sometimes at his White House because they don’t have one for them to practice at, and I believe they pay him to do it he’s the only one who made a replica of the White House

@visceratrocar

Considering this is only based on KNOWN features, you can bet it cost A LOT more. Also the repair and remodel from the time the pmace was literally almost burned down wasn't mentioned, nor was the salaries of housekeeping, groundskeeping, and general maintenance workers.

Actually more surprised that it wasn't requested to be rebuilt already - well, that we know of at least. Sane view is that regardless of the number, given the factors of longevity & high value of resident, a "large" number would actually be seen as solid investment. Considering the cost of an aircraft carrier in 2025 expected to last say 30 years you could argue that any figure under $10bn represents sound value.

@JohnMcGann90

For all those wondering, that would mean your breakfast would cost an average of $3.24 per day, for the entire 80,000 years

How is the fence worth 65m? Even if you filled it with gold

While the White House is an impressive home for the president, it’s not as large as everyone assumes it is. My husband and I have visited the mansion 8 times. Each time we visit, you notice something different every time. Once while we were getting ready to leave through the north entrance, I was standing in the middle of the cross hall. I was facing the doors that everyone considers the “front doors”. I looked from left to right. The State Dining Room’s doors were open, then I looked to the right. The doors to the East Room were open as well. It struck me as I looked from side to side I could see the exterior walls of the White House and face the two doors of the north entrance. It didn’t seem that large to me. I’d love to return some day, it’s been quite a while since our last visit. We’d really enjoy seeing it decorated for Christmas.

In case anyone missed it we have experienced almost 25% inflation over 7 years. Let that sink in. 👍🏻

I'm very happy the Whitehouse is as comfortable as well spent on for the leader of my country. Thanks for showing.

GDP of the US in 1800 was $900m. White House was $232,000. 232k/900m =0.000258 *30.337 trillion = $7.83 billion to build White House when adjusting for real dollars in adjusted for money supply and inflation.

@jocopowell

The Patriot missile launcher that deploys on the roof costs $400 million—and that’s before factoring in the price of the missiles.

Melania Trump redid the aging Rose Garden. Presidents have private donors to fund renovations. Mrs Reagan raised the money herself.
