As far as trump aligning with Putin, I keep remembering a bizarre statement trump made during his campaign: “Just get out and vote for me and you’ll never have to vote again!”. It was one of the most disturbing statements I have ever heard.

You forgot to mention he got out of South Africa when he was 17 to avoid mandatory military service. It was abolished in 1994. He was born in 1971 therefore had he stayed he would have had to do 2 years.

Your commentary regarding the CNN anchor about the congresswoman's language is spot on. Who cares about what language is used when our country is being torn apart. A wise man once said that every country gets the leader it deserves. I'm here in Germany and I'm appalled at what can happen to a democracy. A vassal installed by Russia is promoted to president, and people think it's great to elect a lying, babbling con man. They believe someone who has lied through every level and expect that once elected, he will represent the interests of his voters. He swore this, but he continues to think only of his orders to undermine your country and represent Putin's interests. It gives hope when there are people who oppose this and try to put an end to it.
