The fact you break it down visually helps so much. You also elaborate a lot more than other channels that explain these concepts.

@AskYourComputerGuy

Your advice is awesome for even non-gaming creators like myself. Cheers!

@DreamyJorg

I just started my channel today and uploaded my first ever video! This video is very insightful. Thanks for the valuable information!

@IGoByD3lta1918

I have been watching you for months now and have gotten a lot of great advice, please continue posting this stuff!

@jeivgaming

Been making content on YouTube for over a year now, and I’ve learned a lot from going through this journey. It’s been a slow ride, but it’s not a sprint, it’s a marathon. Thank you for helping small creators with how to approach this channel and to all other creators, keep going. We got this!

Thank you again, man!

@TheAntDabber

Been following your lead for a bit now… can honestly say that it’s all working! Thanks for these videos! Still trying to get more lol

@KinnyGames

I've niched with a game that I now absolutely despise due to bad updates and direction from none other than EA Sports, but I never would've grown to where I am now without nicheing down. When you said you can't have your cake and eat it too, you're absolutely right. I don't think I'll be able to pivot sadly, but I'm going to try anyway. YouTube is a fickle platform, but but really matters is that the creator enjoy making the content they're making over picking a niche just because it's the best chance to get views. The numbers will come and go (seriously, YouTube is a damn roller coaster), but being miserable stuck in a niche you don't want to be in a terrible place to be.

My advice is to take some time with this, try to do things differently. I love the framework you gave here, because it doesn't limit someone to a game that could be totally out of their control, but you can focus on genres, styles for your niche, etc. That's my unwarranted 2 cents.... I've just been having this struggle lately and essentially quit YouTube after over a year of working my ass off because I'm stuck in a spot that I absolutely don't want to be in. Great video and god speed to all the creators out there.

@Toxic-AF

wow, you got me to subscribe, ima try this out, ill be back for more

@wundertam

I just got started and it is very scary in the beginning! Especially talking to what feels like an empty room. I decided to go with indie games. Hopefully one day I can make people happy and support other channels as well!! Thank you for this video

@Gloomless

Yes this video shows everything I did wrong when I started off doing YouTube. I would make minecraft let’s play videos that would maybe get 20 views. Also I would make YouTube videos on a huge variety of games, this ended up hurting my channel significantly and people lost interest in my channel. After focusing on one type of video style I am now averaging between 20K-100K views a video. So just like what is said in this video focusing on one type of video is essential to get the ball moving on your YouTube channel!!

@Nashawnnnnn

Great video especially for gamers! Thanks 🙏🏾

@CreativeThinking52

Bro, you LITERALLY changed my mindset about this whole thing💖🔥

@PremierTrivia

I think this is the third video of yours I’ve watched. Thanks for the guidance.

@itsmedanylh2417

0:37 I like how you used the term “ethically” when addressing how we can eliminate competition. Great video though, keep it up!

@WonderPhule

Thank You for this video.

To be honest, I could be that person who wants/wanted to just do it all at once. As you can see my channel is filled with different games because I wanted to give my viewers some variety on my channel so that both them and me wouldn't be bored of just one game all the time.

But even when I have nicely edited videos, a good banner, attractive thumbnails and titles, my subs and views are not on the level that I was expecting when I uploaded my first video. So I'll definitely try your advice to niche down to one game and give it my best !

@iskoniaxie2417

This video is super informative.Very enjoy to watch from beginner to end. I can apply it on my youtube channel.
