Wow. What a great looking watch. Very vintage Blancpain'ish. I like it a lot.
utterly cool
This watch really has a bit of a Blanpain vibe to it…in a very nice way.l
Eska looks like the love child of an Eberhard Scafograf 200 and the Blancpain Fifty Fathoms. They could still have a vintage look with the bracelet, but give it a quality modern solidity to it.
That ladder bracelet would be in the trash within the first 5 minutes. It looked great on the straps though, especially that brown one. Very nice.
I will take a look at Nomadic. Before the Eska I wore and Ocean Crawler Core Dive and Yema Superman for work and they both served me well. I have a Tudor and a Rolex but I rarely wear them as I'm enjoying these smaller micro brands very much! I just got a Helm Vanuatu in titanium. Wearing it on charter today for the first time! Finally took the Eska off for a day.
Decent looking watch, true to the original. The pressed clasp, although probably original, needs to step up. That's expected from microbrands. There are very tough market conditions at present. The £$€ 1000 mark is a difficult bridge for new/phoenix brands to cross. I like it but wouldn't pay so much. Your stance on freebies/payments is much appreciated, when so many others tell us they are completely unbiased despite accepting such "encouragements".
This would look great with a Marine Nationale strap.
Very nice watch. I would have thought the watch would great with the lighter strap #2.
I like the vintage vibe.
The iconic dial and bracelet are the most compelling features; the case and clasp are serious negatives. Housing an sw 200 (which grade?) should be viewed as a positive.
Interesting watch. I wonder why the bezel is count-down rather than count-up?
The watch on that bracelet is made to wear with a leather jacket.
Was the original rated to 600 meters or feet? Think it was 600 feet and the new one is 250 meters. Anyone have anything definitive on this?
Very pricey for a thick, plain, sw200.. with a stamped clasp☹️
Shame they didn’t go with drilled lug holes, and a milled clasp at that price. Edit, great looking watch though!
I think the design is not nice at all. The fonts of the dial numbers and those of the bezel are a total mismatch! What were they thinking?
Ha ha ha Lume from Hell! It really is bright!
I like the watch, but that bracelet really is awful.
