Deep, low, grounding sounds are loved by so many - those rich bassy frequencies that can drown out background noise while still providing a sense of calm.
With that in mind - and embracing the rich reds, yellows, oranges, and browns of Autumn - today’s Dark Amber Noise features a blend of yellow noise centred around 200Hz, enhanced by deeper red frequencies from my personal collection.
I’ve incorporated the sound of airplane engines during take-off, adjusting it to create a more immersive experience. Alongside this, I’ve added altered recordings of fabric being scratched and the subtle sounds of honey and warm water being shaken together. In the background, I’ve included gentle Solfeggio frequencies to balance out the intense darker tones. Specifically, I used 432 Hz to help reduce anxiety and stress, and 528 Hz to promote relaxation and improve sleep, panning these tones in a 360-degree motion so they feel like they’re moving around your head. But these are very subtle, so to not completely overpower the piece.
So, may this little video from my lab wrap you in the calming cosiness of autumn, offering a moment of warmth and peace as the season unfold.
