Katjuša Brejc (UC Berkeley/HHMI): Working with Worms, Volunteering with Seals

Every Wednesday night during the spring pupping season, Katjuša Brejc volunteers at The Marine Mammal Center (www.marinemammalcenter.org/) near San Francisco. She is part of a crew of volunteers who are responsible for feeding, caring for, and rehabilitating stranded or injured harbor seals. Her hard work is rewarded when the seals are released back to the wild. Overall, the MMC and its volunteers help about 600 animals every year.
