Happy Halloween, everyone! 🎃 - this is most definitely a treat and not a trick!
Setting out to make a Halloween sleep noise, was thankfully much easier than I had originally thought. No scares, no mischief - just 12 hours of blended, sleepy Halloween and Autumn sounds to help you drift off to sleep. 😴
My online oracle suggested this for a Halloween Sleep Noise:
Soft Rainfall: Gentle raindrops pattering against leaves and windows, creating a peaceful rhythm.
Distant Thunder: Low, rolling rumbles that echo faintly, adding a mysterious atmosphere without disturbing the calm.
Crackling Fire: The warm, rhythmic crackle of a cozy fire close by, bringing a comforting warmth to the scene.
Howling Winds: A quiet, distant wind howling around, as if circling outside while you’re safe and warm within.
So using my reliable techniques of sound manipulation (elongation and filtering for my desired frequency), I was able to blend together some of my previous field recordings, with some brand new ones. To compliment it, I used After Effects and Envato to create a whimsical little animated intro.
It's not often I make a sound for a dedicated day - but as I love both sleep AND Halloween, I thought why not?
So even if it's for one night only - please - give Halloween Noise a go. It thankfully won't give you nightmares - quite the opposite! 😊😴
MADE USING: Fabric scratching, fireplace audio, and rainfall, thunder and wind field recordings Kent
