Looking for a deep, dark earthy green noise to get you off to sleep? Look no further than this hand-crafted (recorded, edited and layered) soundscape, made from a combination of layered recordings.
Green Noise has always been a favourite of mine as, unlike White Noise, it has a much more balanced emphasis on lower frequencies. Many viewers of my channel how much I love a good deep noise, and I'd realised I'd not made a green one for a while, so I set out to put that right today.
To create this one, I decided to get in the things I consider 'earthy' or 'natural.' So I took some grass cuttings and foliage as well as some underwater sounds, and mixed them together with some usual fabric scratching (there's also some bark scratching mixed in but it didn't come out very loud). I then ran these recording through the usual filters, aiming to enhance and bring out the lower frequencies.
The result is a very ethereal sort of sound - almost like nature communicating to you, "Go to sleep!"😊
