Calming Cortisol Cleanse | Sound Therapy for Deep Sleep | Reduce Cortisol & Anxiety | 12 Hours |

We've all heard of cortisol right? But what exactly is it? Well, if you've ever felt that jittery rush before a big presentation or the lingering stress after a long day, you’ve met cortisol. It's often called the "stress hormone" because it helps us respond to challenges - but too much of it for too long? That’s when things get tricky.

Excess cortisol can lead to anxiety, poor sleep, weight gain, and even a weakened immune system. It keeps your body on high alert when what you really need is rest. That’s where Cortisol Cleanse comes in - designed to help your system unwind, lower stress levels, and create the perfect environment for deep, restorative sleep.

But how could I create a sound that helps detox and flush out any cortisol in our bodies? Well, my trusty online oracle was able to give me another helpful blueprint on what to create. Here's what was suggested:

Base Layer (Grounding & Steady)
Theta Waves & Melodic 396 Hz Drone
Theta waves (4-8 Hz) guide the mind into deep relaxation, while a soft, melodic drone of 396 Hz vibrates like a gentle chant, dissolving fear and tension.

Mid Layer (Soothing & Heart-Centered)
Soft Blue-Green Noise Hum
A rich, flowing hum—like a steady river current—flushing cortisol from the body and carrying stress away with each passing wave.

Top Layer (Rich & Deep)
Bassy, Deep Brown Noise
A warm, grounding resonance, like the deep hum of the earth, absorbing tension and settling the nervous system into deep calm.

So, taking these ideas into my sound lab, I used my usual techniques of elongation and filtering to carefully shape each element, blending them seamlessly into the final composition. I began with my MIDI keyboard to generate soothing Theta Waves alongside a melodic 396 Hz drone - its gentle vibrations loosen the grip of stress, rolling in and out like a slow, steady breath. Next, I layered in field recordings of a waterfall and gentle waves, adding a natural, grounding presence. To enrich the soundscape further, I introduced deep, warm brown noise, crafted from filtered fabric scratching and the delicate sound of rice shaking.

So if you're feeling worried, anxious, stressed or struggling to sleep - it's most likely that pesky cortisol. So why not put this on and let it melt away and dissolve all your troubles.

Sleep long and sleep stress-free tonight.
